Market context

Sinners and FlyQuest are scheduled to meet in a best-of-one Counter-Strike match at IEM Cologne Major Stage 1 on 2 June at 08:00 ET. The Polymarket contract currently reflects a 0% implied probability for a Sinners victory, pricing the conditional token at effectively zero USDC on Polygon. This extreme pricing suggests the market is treating a FlyQuest win as near-certain, though the 0% floor may also reflect low liquidity or minimal trading activity rather than genuine confidence in the outcome.

FlyQuest has established itself as a top-tier North American side with consistent Major performances, whilst Sinners—a Czech-based roster—competes at a lower tier within the competitive Counter-Strike ecosystem. Historical matchups between teams of this calibre differential typically favour the higher-ranked squad decisively, though upsets in single-elimination formats remain possible. The 0% pricing aligns with standard market behaviour when one team holds a substantial skill gap; comparable Polymarket CS:GO contracts have shown similar extremes when favourites face significantly weaker opponents in round-one play.

Traders should monitor roster confirmations and any last-minute substitutions before the 2 June settlement window closes. IEM Cologne is an ESL-sanctioned event, so official bracket updates and team announcements will come through ESL's channels. Technical delays—server issues, venue problems, or broadcast failures—could trigger the 50-50 tie resolution, though this remains unlikely given ESL's infrastructure. Any withdrawal or forfeiture by either side would also invoke alternative settlement conditions rather than a standard result.

Resolution & payout

Resolution source: This market settles from the official publication at https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCSb. A proposer submits the result to the UMA Optimistic Oracle on Polygon, the two-hour challenge window opens, and the smart contract pays out in USDC.

At resolution the UMA oracle takes over: a proposer posts the outcome with a bond, any token holder can dispute within two hours. Without dispute the result is accepted and the smart contract distributes USDC instantly.

On Kalshi (CFTC-regulated) resolution runs through their in-house clearing engine in USD. Betfair Exchange settles after match end in the account's local currency. Manifold pays no cash — only its in-platform "mana" currency.

FAQ

Where can I trade this market with the lowest fees?

How does resolution work?
Through the UMA Optimistic Oracle on Polygon: a proposer submits the outcome, a two-hour challenge window opens, and USDC payouts settle automatically once the result is final.
What's the difference between YES and NO shares?
A YES share pays $1.00 if the event happens, $0 otherwise. A NO share pays $1.00 if the event doesn't happen. The market price between 0¢ and 100¢ is the implied probability.
